Ukraine's Security Service announced that a drone attack destroyed more than 40 Russian planes inside Russia, while Russia continued its missile and drone attacks on Ukraine. The attack was reportedly planned for over 18 months, and President Zelenskyy personally managed it. For this operation, small drones were secretly brought into Russia and kept in mobile wooden shelters. At the right moment, these drones were sent out to hit Russian bombers. It is believed that the attack destroyed 34% of Russia's planes that carry missiles, causing about $7 billion in damage. Despite this, peace talks between Ukraine and Russia are still planned to happen in Istanbul. A senior defense official said that the U.S. had not seen such a well-planned attack before. In response, Russia has launched more drones and missiles at Ukraine, which has caused at least 12 Ukrainian soldiers to die and over 60 others to be injured.
