On Tuesday, President Donald Trump began his four-day trip to the Middle East. He met with Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. They talked about important things like stopping Iran from making nuclear weapons, ending the fighting in Gaza, and keeping oil prices from going up.
Prince Mohammed was happy to meet Trump when he got off the plane and started his trip in the Middle East.
Then the two leaders went to a large room at the Riyadh airport. There, people who worked there gave Mr. Trump and his helpers traditional Arabic coffee. The people serving the coffee wore special belts with guns.
The special ceremony started before Trump's plane arrived. Saudi planes flew next to his plane as it came near the city.
Trump and Prince Mohammed were going to eat lunch at the Royal Court. Some important business people were also asked to come.

What to know about Saudi Arabia and the US working together on nuclear power
Trump goes to the Middle East when problems in the area become bigger.
The big oil company Aramco made $26 billion profit in the first three months of the year. This is a little less than last year.
Later, the crown prince will host a formal dinner for Trump. Trump is also scheduled to attend a U.S.-Saudi investment conference on Tuesday.
Saudi Investment Minister Khalid al-Falih said that when people from Saudi Arabia and America work together, good things often happen.
Saudi Arabia and other oil countries helped Trump because they made more oil. This is good for Trump because he thinks cheap oil helps Americans with prices. Trump also believes lower oil prices can help stop the war in Ukraine.
But Saudi Arabia's economy still needs oil a lot. The country needs the price of oil to be between $96 and $98 a barrel to have enough money. It is not sure how long OPEC+, which Saudi Arabia is the main country in, will keep making a lot of oil. The price of Brent oil was $64.77 on Monday.
Jon Alterman said that when oil prices are low, it is harder for countries in the Gulf to change their economies. They want to stop depending only on oil. But he also said that low prices do not necessarily stop them from trying to make these changes.
Trump chose Saudi Arabia for his first trip. He chose it because Saudi Arabia said it would put a lot of money into the U.S. But last month, Trump went to Italy instead for the Pope's funeral. Saudi Arabia was the first country he visited outside the U.S. in his first four years as president.
The president will visit Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. In these countries, the Trump Organization, led by Trump's older sons, is building large buildings and projects. For example, they are building a tall building in Jeddah, a fancy hotel in Dubai, and a place with a golf course and houses in Qatar.
Trump wants to show his way of dealing with other countries is good. But some people say his actions are making the US alone.
People think he will announce agreements with three rich countries. These agreements will be about artificial intelligence, working together more on energy, and maybe selling new weapons to Saudi Arabia. This month, the government said they first agreed to sell missiles worth $3.5 billion for Saudi Arabia's planes.
But when Trump came to the Middle East, his main friends, Israel and Saudi Arabia, did not completely agree with his plan.
Before the trip, Trump said the U.S. would stop bombing the Houthis in Yemen. He said the Houthis promised to stop attacking ships on an important trade route.
The government did not tell Israel about the deal before Trump announced it. Trump often did not tell Israel about his talks with their enemies.
In March, the leader of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, was told about the talks with Hamas about the war in Gaza after they had already started. He also learned about the U.S. talks with Iran about nuclear power only when Trump spoke about it during a meeting with him last month.
Last week, after Trump announced a truce with the Houthi group, Netanyahu stated that Israel would defend itself alone. He added that it would be even better if others, like their American allies, joined them.
William Wechsler, who works at the Atlantic Council, said it was surprising that Trump did not go to Israel on his first visit to the Middle East.
Wechsler said the main idea is that the governments in the Gulf area seem to be better friends with President Trump right now than the government of Israel.
Trump wants to try again to make Israel and Saudi Arabia, two important countries in the Middle East, friends. He tried this before when he was president. His plan before, called the Abraham Accords, helped Sudan, the UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco become friends with Israel.
But Saudi Arabia has said clearly that to be friends with Israel, it wants the U.S. to promise to protect it, help with its plans for nuclear energy, and help the Palestinians get their own country. It seems very hard for the Palestinians to get their own country now because of the war between Israel and Hamas, and because Israel says it might destroy and take control of Gaza.
Last week, Prince Mohammed met the Palestinian Vice President, Hussein Sheikh, in Jeddah. It was his first trip to another country since he started his job in April.
Hussain Abdul-Hussain said the Saudi leader seemed to tell Trump that Saudi Arabia needs to see things get better for Palestinians before they can really agree to make peace with Israel.
Abdul-Hussain said, "Saudi Arabia often shows what they will do. This means they are saying, 'Don't ask us to be friendly about making things normal.'"
