Mako Komuro, who used to be a Japanese princess and is Emperor Naruhito's niece, has had her first baby. The palace said the baby was born, but they did not say when or if it was a boy or a girl. This is because Mako is not a princess anymore. Mako married Kei Komuro, a normal person, in 2021. She gave up her royal position because of Japan's royal family rules. The couple lives in New York, where Kei is a lawyer. The palace decided to tell the news after the media talked about it. Mako's parents and siblings were very happy and wished the family good luck. Mako and her husband met at a university in Tokyo. Their wedding was put off for four years because of a money problem with Kei Komuro’s mother. Mako also did not take the money she could have gotten for leaving the royal family.
