Learning Resources, a toy company from Illinois, has asked the Supreme Court to stop President Trump's tariffs. They believe he used emergency powers illegally to put these tariffs in place without Congress's approval. The company won in a lower court before, but the tariffs are still being collected because another court is looking at a similar case. Learning Resources believes the court needs to decide soon because the tariffs are really affecting businesses and customers. Their CEO, Rick Woldenberg, says the tariffs are making things uncertain and causing prices to go up. The company's lawyers have suggested that the court could decide to take the case before June and discuss it in the fall. However, the Trump administration argues that the emergency powers law allows the president to control imports during national emergencies.
