A judge in Massachusetts stopped President Donald Trump from changing how people vote in the U.S. The judge said Trump's plan was against the law. Trump wanted people to show they were citizens to vote. He also wanted to only count votes sent by mail if they arrived by Election Day. And he wanted states to follow these rules to get money for elections. The White House said this plan would make elections "fair and honest." But the judge, Denise J. Casper, said that the states would probably win in court. She said the President does not have special power over elections in the Constitution. The judge also stopped the part of the plan that said votes sent by mail after Election Day would not be counted. This is the second time a judge has stopped parts of Trump’s election plan.
