Kristi Noem, who is the head of Homeland Security, said she will keep the Trump government's strong immigration rules, even though people are protesting. A judge said that sending National Guard soldiers to protests was not allowed, but a higher court later stopped this decision. The judge's rule was only for the National Guard soldiers, not for the Marines who were sent after protests started about the immigration rules. Governor Gavin Newsom was happy about the judge's rule because he wanted soldiers to stop helping with immigration arrests. Anna Kelly, who speaks for the White House, said the president did what he was allowed to do. Protests are still happening, and immigration officers in Los Angeles are showing other cities how to handle things. But Kristi Noem said the government will not give up.
