Elon Musk has left his job as a main advisor to President Trump. His big plans to change the government and spend less money did not fully happen. While he was in this role, many people lost their jobs, government departments were made smaller, and there were legal problems. Musk first wanted to cut $2 trillion from spending, but this was later reduced to $1 trillion, and then to only $150 billion. This caused more and more frustration and arguments with other people in Trump's team. Musk left after he spoke against Trump's new laws, especially a "very large spending bill" that Musk said would make the government's debt bigger. Even though he left, the White House still plans to use some of Musk's ideas for cutting costs. However, Musk has said he is unhappy with the government system and plans to spend less money on politics.
