Elon Musk is leaving his job as a main advisor to President Donald Trump. He didn't reach his big goals to change the government and spend less money. While he was in this role, many people lost their jobs, government departments were cut, and there were legal problems. Musk's first plan was to cut $2 trillion in spending, but this was reduced to $1 trillion, and then to just $150 billion. This caused more frustration and problems with other people in Trump's administration. Musk is leaving after he criticized Trump's new laws, especially a "very large spending bill" that Musk thinks will make the country's debt bigger. Even though he is leaving, the White House still wants to use some of Musk's ideas for cuts. However, Musk has said he is unhappy with the government system and plans to spend less money on politics.
