Mary Lou Retton, a famous American gymnast, was arrested in West Virginia for drunk driving. Police stopped her on May 17th because someone reported a car being driven unsafely. Officers noticed she smelled of alcohol, spoke unclearly, and had an open wine bottle in the car. Retton, who is 57, failed a sobriety test and would not take a breath or blood test. She was later let go after paying $1,500. Her lawyer has not said anything about it yet. This arrest happened after Retton got better last year from a serious type of pneumonia that made her go to intensive care.
