Since January, judges have made 40 orders about the whole country. This was said in court by D. John Sauer. He spoke for over two hours.

The government wants the court to quickly decide about birthright citizenship and other immigration problems.

We can do this fast, and it may help everyone in the country.

But when Amy Coney Barrett asked questions, Sauer said the old government might not like the lawsuit. They might try to make it take longer.

The Supreme Court usually does not talk about quick appeals. They often talk about the main problem.

But the government did not ask the court about the big problem now. If the court agrees with the government about rules across the country, we don't know how long the rules for children born in the US will be different.
