Some people got sick in the U.S. from food. A company is taking back some food products.

Some people got sick after eating food from a company in California. They were in California and Nevada and needed to go to the hospital.

The agency said the products were sold in some states: Arizona, California, Nevada, and Washington. People could buy them in many places like stores, hospitals, hotels, small shops, airports, and on airplanes.

If you eat bad food with listeria, you can get sick in about two weeks. You might have a fever, feel tired, or have a stomach ache. If you are very sick, you might have a headache or feel confused.

Government people said they looked into the sickness last year but could not find where it came from. They started looking again in April when tests showed the sickness was in food from a company called Fresh & Ready Foods.

The company fixed the problem quickly.

Some people ate food from Fresh & Ready Foods. They got sick. This food was in hospitals where they were before.

They took tests from sick people from December 2023 to September 2024.

Fresh & Ready said some food is not safe to eat. Look at the date on the food package. The dates are from April 22 to May 19 this year. The food has names like Fresh & Ready Foods, City Point Market Fresh Food to Go, and Fresh Take Crave Away.
