Some Republicans might not cut a lot of money from health care for poor people.
A new report says many people may lose help for health from the government.
A report said more people would not have health insurance.
People were not sure if Mike Johnson could pass the bill by the date he wanted.
Politicians are worried about money and jobs. They want to change taxes and spend less.
Johnson talked with Republicans in his office this week.
Democrats used the report.
This report says the Republican plan means many people will lose their health care.
Republicans in the House said they will not change some rules about money for health in states.
Jeff Van Drew said the health help changes are stopped.
Nick LaLota from New York said Trump does not want to cut help for poor people. He said other Republicans want to cut other help for poor people.
LaLota had other ideas, too.
He said people on Medicaid must work.
They must show they can get help two times a year, not one.
He also said people in the U.S. with no papers should not get help.
But some Republicans want to spend less money because they think tax cuts make the country have too much debt.
Medicaid is a program for people. States and the government help run it. 71 million adults use it.
Republicans want to spend less money on this program.
They want to spend less money on people in Medicaid.
The changes would save a lot of money. But about 10 million people would lose their health care from Medicaid.
They seem not possible.
But Republicans still want to change Medicaid. They want to put limits on taxes for health care. This would save money. But 8 million people might lose their health care.
