Meta is putting $14.3 billion into an AI company called Scale. Scale's CEO, Alexandr Wang, will also work for Meta's special AI team. This is because Meta wants to make its AI better to compete with companies like Google and OpenAI. Scale will still be its own company, but Meta will now own almost half of it (49%). Wang will go to Meta with a small group of people, but he will still be on Scale's board. Scale is now worth more than $29 billion. We don't know what this deal means for Scale's other customers, like big car companies General Motors and Toyota.
