Google Cloud had a big problem that affected popular online services like Spotify and Discord worldwide. Many users reported issues, and reports for Spotify were highest around 3 p.m. EST. Google Cloud confirmed the problem, saying it affected customers in many countries. Even though they found the cause and started to fix it, Google Cloud couldn't say when the problem would be completely solved. Google Cloud hosts many internet services and is the fastest-growing part of Alphabet Inc., making $43.2 billion last year. This was a 31% increase from 2023, even though Alphabet still gets most of its money from Google's search engine.
