OpenAI thinks it will pay less money to Microsoft by 2030, according to reports.
This news comes after OpenAI changed its plan this week. The part of the company that makes money will now become a special kind of company that helps people. But the part that does not make money will still be in control.
A report says OpenAI now gives 20% of its money to Microsoft, but it hopes to give only 10% to companies like Microsoft by the year 2030.
Microsoft has given a lot of money to OpenAI. They have a deal until 2030. They will share the money they earn. Microsoft can use OpenAI's ideas in its AI products. Microsoft is the only one that can use some of OpenAI's computer systems on Azure.
Bloomberg said on Monday that Microsoft has not yet agreed to OpenAI's plan for how the company will work. Microsoft is a large tech company and wants to protect the large amount of money it has invested.
OpenAI and Microsoft did not answer immediately when people asked for their thoughts.
