Big chip company Nvidia has a problem. The U.S. says it cannot sell some chips easily.

Nvidia said the U.S. government told them they need special permission to send their H20 chips to China.

Nvidia thinks it will lose about $5.5 billion. Their shares went down 6%.

The H20 is a special computer chip from Nvidia. Nvidia can sell it in China. Maybe the boss of Nvidia talked to the U.S. President about it.

On Monday, Nvidia said they will make some AI chips in the U.S. later. Some people said the company did not share many details.

Some people in the government said it is not good to sell the H20 chip. They said China used it to make AI.

Nvidia did not want to talk about it.
