They play the last-place Colorado Rockies.

The Guardians finish their series in Boston.

Then they play three games at Kansas City.

The White Sox win also knocked Baltimore out of the playoffs.

Kyle Teel hit a home run and reached base five times.

Five different White Sox players drove in runs.

David Sandlin (3-2) gave up one run on five hits over six innings.

He played against the team that drafted him four years ago.

Randy Dobnak (3-5) allowed six runs for Kansas City.

Four of the runs were earned.

He also made two errors.

He retired only four batters.

Salvador Perez homered for the Royals.

He reached 20 home runs in a season for the 10th time.

That is a club record.

The White Sox are now 82-77.

That is the most wins ever for a club after three 100-loss years in a row.

They have won four of their last five games.

This is their first playoff appearance since 2021.

A division title is still possible.
