Shohei Ohtani, the famous Japanese baseball player, has made history for the Dodgers. He is now only the third player in the team's history to hit 20 home runs in the first 55 games of the season. This achievement puts Ohtani in the same group as Gil Hodges and Cody Bellinger. It is also the 64th time a player in the Major Leagues has done this in the same period, and the first since Pete Alonso of the New York Mets in 2023.
