Shohei Ohtani hit a triple and walked three times on Wednesday. One time, the pitcher did not throw the ball for him to hit on purpose during a big part of the game against Lake Bachar.

James Outman hit a home run with three runners on base. This made the Dodgers' lead bigger in the last part of the game.

Landon Knack, who was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday, pitched well, allowing only four hits and no runs while striking out five batters. Matt Sauer was also recalled and replaced Knack, pitching the final four innings to earn his first career save.

Miami's first pitcher, Valente Bellozo, was very good for 5 1/3 innings. He only let the other team get one hit and he stopped seven players from hitting the ball. Another pitcher, Cade Gibson, came in after Bellozo. Then, Ohtani hit the ball far and got to third base off Gibson.

New player Augustin Ramirez, who is a catcher, hit the ball well for the Marlins. He hit a single and a double. The Marlins have won 14 games and lost 22 games. They have lost 9 of their last 11 games.

In the sixth inning, Jesús Sánchez hit the ball well. Later, in the ninth inning, he hit a ball that helped his team score their only point.

In the seventh inning, the Dodgers started to win the game against Bachar. When he came in, he let players walk to first base, hit the ball for a single, and then hit another single that brought in a point. With first base empty, Bachar chose to let Ohtani walk to first base. Then, he let Mookie Betts walk to first base when all the bases were full. Next, Freeman hit the ball for a triple, and all the players on the bases scored. After that, another player hit a single, and another point was scored.

The Dodgers only hit the ball one time in the first five parts of the game against Bellozo. After that, they hit the ball 11 times against four different Miami pitchers.

The Dodgers start a four-game series in Arizona on Thursday. Yoshinobu Yamamoto will be the pitcher. The Marlins have no game on Thursday. Max Meyer will be the pitcher for the first game of a three-game series in Chicago on Friday.
