Shohei Ohtani, a famous baseball player from Japan, has hit 20 home runs in his first 55 games. He is only the third player in the Dodgers team's history to do this. Two other players, Gil Hodges and Cody Bellinger, also did this. This has happened 64 times in the major leagues. The last player to do this was Pete Alonso in 2023. Ohtani is a very good player and has won three MVP awards. He has hit the most home runs in the major leagues. He also hit a home run in a game against the Cleveland Guardians. This season, he has hit home runs to the opposite side four times. Sometimes, even when Ohtani does not hit the ball perfectly, it can still be a home run. He has hit home runs in three games in a row two times this season. Ohtani has been chosen as an All-Star four times. Since he joined the Dodgers, he has hit at least 12 home runs in a month three times.
