Freddie Freeman hit the ball two times and also hit a triple when the bases were full. The Los Angeles Dodgers won against the Miami Marlins with a score of 10-1 on Wednesday.
Freeman helped his team win by getting four runs. He has now hit the ball well in 12 games in a row. His team, the Dodgers, are the best in the league. They won their fourth series in a row by winning two out of three games in Miami. Freeman played very well in the series. He hit the ball 8 times out of 13 tries and got six runs and two home runs.
Shohei Ohtani hit a triple and walked three times on Wednesday. The pitcher walked him on purpose in the seventh part of the game when they scored six runs against Lake Bachar.
James Outman hit a home run with three players on the bases in the last part of the game. This made the Dodgers' lead bigger.
Landon Knack won his second game (2-0). He gave up four hits but no runs and struck out five players. He was brought up from the Oklahoma City team on Wednesday. Matt Sauer came in after Knack and pitched the last four innings. This was his first time saving a game.
Miami's first pitcher, Valente Bellozo, played well. He only let the other team get one hit and he stopped seven batters from hitting the ball over five innings. He didn't let the other team score any points. Another pitcher, Cade Gibson, took his place in the sixth inning. This happened before Bellozo had to face Ohtani again. In the next turn at bat, Ohtani hit the ball far and got three bases off Gibson. Gibson lost the game.
New player Augustin Ramirez got one hit and one two-base hit for the Marlins. The Marlins now have 14 wins and 22 losses. They have lost 9 of their last 11 games and only won 2.
Jesús Sánchez hit the ball and got to first base in the sixth inning. He hit the ball again in the ninth inning, and it helped Miami score their only point.
The Dodgers scored many points in the seventh part of the game against Bachar. Bachar allowed a player to walk, then another player hit the ball to reach first base. Next, another player hit the ball and scored a point. The team intentionally walked Ohtani because first base was empty. Then, with players on all bases, Bachar walked Mookie Betts, resulting in another point. Freeman then hit a triple, clearing the bases and scoring all the players. Finally, another player hit the ball and scored a point.
The Dodgers only got one hit in the first five parts of the game against Bellozo. But after that, they got 11 hits against four different Miami pitchers.
The Dodgers start a four-game series in Arizona on Thursday.
