Russian missiles and drones struck at least four Ukrainian regions overnight.

Officials said on Tuesday that five people died.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said his forces damaged two more Russian oil refineries.

These were long-range strikes.

The attacks continued, but front-line positions stayed mostly the same.

Zelenskyy was set to meet U.S. President Donald Trump and other world leaders.

The meeting is at the U.N. General Assembly in New York.

He is looking for help to end Russia's full-scale invasion.

The invasion has lasted more than 4½ years.

Trump has asked Zelenskyy to stop strikes on Russian oil refineries and other fuel sites.

Trump said these strikes add to global shortages and higher prices.

Kyiv began targeting refineries after Moscow repeatedly attacked Ukraine's power grid.

Zelenskyy has offered to stop these strikes if Russia ends its attacks on energy infrastructure.

Zelenskyy also wants help to keep Ukrainian grain flowing to world markets.

The grain moves through the Black Sea.

Russian attacks on cargo vessels have badly disrupted Kyiv's exports.

In recent years, Russia and Ukraine supplied about 30% of world wheat exports.

They also supplied 12% of corn exports, mostly through the Black Sea.

Last month, attacks cut both countries' agricultural exports by two-thirds.

Thomas de Waal of the Carnegie Europe think tank said this in a report on Tuesday.

He said the missing grain puts several African countries at risk of famine.

French President Emmanuel Macron said France would send Ukraine more radar systems.

These would help protect its power grid.

He said he discussed a possible truce with Trump.

The truce would stop strikes on energy infrastructure.

It would also include a moratorium on Black Sea attacks.

Zelenskyy began his New York visit by meeting U.S. senators.

He thanked them for support from both parties.

In Kyiv, resident Iryna Panina said she had lost hope in international peace efforts.
