After Israel attacked Iranian targets, violence increased, causing oil prices to rise and stock values to fall on Friday. This happened because people were worried about the global oil supply and the economy. Major stock markets like the S&P 500, Dow Jones, and Nasdaq all dropped a lot, while the price of U.S. oil went up by 7.3% to $72.98 per barrel. Experts often say that oil prices usually go down when the situation doesn't get worse, but Wall Street is watching closely. Companies that use a lot of fuel or depend on people traveling, like Carnival and United Airlines, lost a lot of money. However, U.S. oil companies, defense companies, and gold made money. Even with these changes, inflation is still stable, but some people worry it could increase because of President Trump's tariffs.
