After Israel attacked Iranian targets, violence increased, causing oil prices to rise and stock prices to fall on Friday. This happened because people were worried about the global oil supply and the economy. Major stock markets like the S&P 500, Dow Jones, and Nasdaq all dropped a lot, while the price of U.S. crude oil went up by 7.3% to $72.98 per barrel. Even though experts often say oil prices go down if the situation doesn't get worse, Wall Street is watching closely. Companies that need a lot of fuel and depend on people feeling confident about travel, like Carnival and United Airlines, lost a lot of money. However, U.S. oil producers, defense companies, and gold made money. Despite these changes, inflation is still quite stable, but some people are worried it could speed up because of President Trump's tariffs.
