Asian markets started Friday lower after Israel attacked near Tehran. This event has increased worries about Iran's nuclear program, causing oil prices to go up a lot, with both U.S. and Brent crude seeing big increases. Major stock indexes like Tokyo’s Nikkei 225, Seoul's Kospi, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng, the Shanghai Composite Index, and Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 all went down. However, Xu Tiachen from The Economist Intelligence thinks Asian markets will probably get better quickly. This is because they are not very involved in the conflict and have stronger ties with countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE, which are not affected. On the other hand, U.S. stock indexes went up on Thursday after good news about inflation. Stocks also improved because Treasury yields went down, suggesting the Federal Reserve might lower interest rates later this year. Despite these good signs, people are still concerned about how Trump's changing tariffs might affect inflation and if there could be a recession.
