A recent report from the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China shows that European companies are spending less and investing less in China. This is because the Chinese economy is slowing down, and there's strong competition, which is making prices lower. These businesses are facing difficulties because China's economy is weaker, made worse by problems in the housing market and growing resistance from Europe and the US to China's increasing exports. The report suggests that government support has caused too much investment in areas like electric cars, leading to more products than people want to buy. This extra supply has started strong price wars, making companies search for markets outside China. In Europe, people are worried that more imports from China could harm local businesses and jobs. The EU has responded by adding taxes to Chinese electric vehicles, stating that they receive unfair government help. The report also indicates that businesses are feeling less confident and earning less money.
