The constant changes in tariffs and trade actions have made businesses around the world nervous. Some big stores in the US have already raised prices or said they might have to soon.

Recently, President Trump put new taxes on imports from many of America's trading partners and certain industries. Some countries, especially China, responded with their own taxes. While some of the highest taxes were later stopped or lowered, many others still exist, causing problems for businesses.

This happens because companies that buy products made overseas have to pay tariffs, which increases their costs. They often pass these costs on to shoppers. Trump says his new tariffs will bring manufacturing and money back to the U.S. However, many economists warn that these tariffs could raise prices on everything from groceries to car repairs. This is because many of the products we buy today rely on global supply chains.

In early May, Microsoft increased the suggested prices for Xbox consoles and controllers worldwide. For example, the Xbox Series S now starts at $379.99 in the US, up $80 from its original price of $299.99 in 2020. The more powerful Xbox Series X will now cost $599.99, a $100 increase from its previous price of $499.99.
