A company stopped selling Buddha's jewels. India said no.
Old stones for sale were found with old bones in India. They are very old.
But India said 'Stop the sale!' because it was against the law.
The group sent a letter. They said the items for sale are important Buddhist things. They are part of India's culture. They want the items back for India. They also want the auction house to say sorry.
Peppé is the great-grandson of William Peppé. William Peppé was British and he found old things.
India said the auction house must follow the rules or they will have legal trouble.
Sotheby's changed the date. They talked to the Indian government. The owners agreed to change the date.

India's culture department said they stopped the sale.
