South Korea said a court in Czech Republic made a choice about a big nuclear project. South Korea said it is not a big problem and the project will happen.
A company from South Korea wanted to sign a deal for a power plant in the Czech Republic this week. But a court in the Czech Republic said no. A company from France asked the court to stop the deal because they lost the project.
Minister Ahn Dukgeun from South Korea was in Prague. He said the court's decision makes the contract a little late. He said other things will still happen on time if the deal is finished. He also said the Czech government did not think the court would stop the deal. He said CEZ wants to ask the court to change its decision.
We don't know when the court will decide.
The Czech government did not think it was a big problem. They invited us for the signing. But the government's idea was different from the court's idea.
The leader of Czechia said his government is okay with the court's choice. He also said the judges know this choice is very important for the country's safety.
Lee Ju-Ho said South Korea will talk to the Czech Republic to finish the deal quickly.
In July, CEZ chose KHNP to build two big power plants. EDF was not chosen. EDF was angry and went to court last week.
Before, the leader of South Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, wanted to sell nuclear power to other countries. He said the government before him stopped it. His government wanted to sell 10 nuclear power parts by 2030.
