The biggest city in southern Israel was directly hit. This happened only a few days after its main hospital was badly damaged by a missile.

His message was posted at 4:16 a.m. Tehran time. Araghchi also said that the final decision about ending their military actions would be made later.

The Israeli military did not comment on Trump's ceasefire announcement, and Benjamin Netanyahu's office has not yet responded to requests for information.

In Israel, at least 24 people have died and over 1,000 have been hurt in the war. Israeli attacks on Iran have killed at least 974 people and injured 3,458 others, according to Human Rights Activists, a group based in Washington.

The group, which has given detailed numbers of people killed in Iranian protests, like those after Mahsa Amini's death in 2022, stated that among the dead, 387 were civilians and 268 were security personnel.

A State Department official announced that the U.S. has helped about 250 American citizens and their close family members leave Israel. These people were evacuated by government, military, and private planes, starting this past weekend. It is thought that around 700,000 American citizens are currently in Israel, and most of them are also Israeli citizens.
