The Israeli military has not commented on Trump's ceasefire statement, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office has not yet replied to requests for comments.

The conflict has caused many casualties, with at least 24 people killed and over 1,000 injured in Israel. Also, Israeli attacks in Iran have resulted in at least 974 deaths and 3,458 injuries, according to the Washington-based group Human Rights Activists.

The group, which has provided precise numbers of casualties from Iranian unrest, including the protests following Mahsa Amini's death in 2022, stated that among those killed, 387 were civilians and 268 were security force members.

The U.S. government has helped about 250 American citizens and their close family members leave Israel since the weekend, using government, military, and private planes. A State Department official stated that around 700,000 American citizens, many of whom are also Israeli citizens, are thought to be living in Israel.
