The Israeli military did not comment on Trump's ceasefire statement, and Benjamin Netanyahu's office has not yet replied to requests for information.

In Israel, at least 24 people have died and over 1,000 have been hurt in the war. Israeli attacks on Iran have killed at least 974 people and injured 3,458 others, according to the group Human Rights Activists, which is based in Washington.

The group, which has provided specific numbers of people killed in Iranian protests, like those after Mahsa Amini's death in 2022, reported that 387 of the dead were civilians and 268 were security personnel.

The U.S. has helped about 250 American citizens and their close family members leave Israel. They used government, military, and special planes, starting this past weekend. It is thought that around 700,000 American citizens are still in Israel, and most of them also have Israeli citizenship.
