A big cloud of dust from the Sahara Desert has moved over the Caribbean. It's the biggest dust cloud this year. Now, it is going towards the US. The dust cloud is very wide, about 3,200 km from Jamaica to Barbados and 1,200 km from the Turks and Caicos Islands to Trinidad and Tobago. Because there is a lot of dust in the air, doctors say people should be careful. The dust can make people sneeze, cough, and have watery eyes. This dust cloud, called the Saharan Air Layer, comes from the Sahara Desert between April and October. It can also stop storms from forming in the Atlantic Ocean. The dust cloud will probably reach Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi later this week. Last year, in June, there was a very big dust cloud called the "Godzilla dust cloud" over the Caribbean. It was the biggest one in 50 years.
