Mako Komuro, who used to be a Japanese princess and is the Emperor's niece, has had her first baby. The palace confirmed this, but they did not say when the baby was born or if it was a boy or a girl. This is because Mako is not a royal anymore. She married Kei Komuro, a normal person, in 2021. She gave up her royal title to marry him, as the law in Japan says. They live in New York, and Kei works there as a lawyer. The palace confirmed the news about the baby after the media reported it. Mako's parents and siblings were very happy and wished the family well. Mako and her husband met at a university in Tokyo. Their wedding was delayed for four years because of a money problem with Kei Komuro's mother. Mako also said no to money she could have received for leaving the royal family.
