A chemical factory exploded in Weifang, a city in eastern China. Five people died and 19 were hurt. Six people are still missing. The factory makes chemicals for farms and medicine. The explosion broke windows in nearby buildings and sent a lot of smoke into the sky. Students at a nearby school said they smelled something strange after the explosion. More than 230 people went to help, and a group is checking for pollution. This happened after a meeting about making chemical factories safer. Last year, the factory was praised for being good at managing risks because they fixed more than 800 safety problems.
