King Charles III gave a rare speech to the Canadian Parliament, where he stressed Canada's independence, especially after the US president's threats to take over. His visit showed that Canada is a separate country and a member of the Commonwealth. In his speech, he talked about the big problems and worries Canadians are facing in today's uncertain world. He also promised to protect the French language and Quebec culture, which are very important to Canadian identity. This visit, his first as King, happened at an important time because the US president had threatened to put high taxes on Canadian products and criticized their military spending. The speech ended with a clear statement about Canada's independence and a plan to join the EU's "REARM Europe" defense project, without saying anything about buying from the US.
