One juror wanted to find Lindsay Clancy guilty of murder.
He said he was sure she was guilty.
His name is Michael Desronvil.
He said the other jurors would not listen to him.
His lawyer shared this statement on Friday.
It was his first public comment on the case.
Eleven of the 12 jurors wanted to clear Clancy of criminal responsibility.
Most of them felt she was suffering from postpartum psychosis.
They believed this is why the Massachusetts mother strangled her children.
Desronvil agreed with prosecutors.
They argued that Clancy knew what she was doing.
In the statement, he said he had no doubts.
The jury foreperson said in a media interview that Desronvil had reasonable doubt.
She claimed he wanted to convict her anyway.
Desronvil said that was not true.
The jury could not agree.
This forced the judge to declare a mistrial on Sept. 4.
The Plymouth County district attorney has not said if he will try Clancy again.
No one disputed that Clancy strangled her children.
Their names were Cora, Dawson and Callan.
It happened in the family's home in 2023.
After that, she tried to end her own life.
Her attorney said she was a loving mother.
She had deep delusions and other mental health problems.
She had been getting treatment for these.
Since the trial ended, people have both praised and criticized Desronvil.
People have looked closely at his personal life.
They have also looked at his past financial and legal problems.
During jury selection, he had a restraining order against him.
He also faced eviction over more than $12,000 in unpaid rent.
In 2021, he was accused of domestic violence.
That charge was later dismissed.
His lawyer said he is in an undisclosed safe location.
It is in rural northern New England.
A fundraiser for his security, lawyers and lost work has raised over $289,000.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said Florida would provide asylum if Desronvil is being harassed.
