Learning Resources Inc., a toy company from Illinois, has brought its case against President Trump's tariffs to the Supreme Court. They claim he illegally used emergency powers to put these tariffs in place without Congress agreeing. Even though they won in a lower court, the tariffs are still being collected because an appeals court is reviewing a similar decision. Learning Resources believes the case needs to be heard quickly because the tariffs are having a big effect on companies and people buying things. CEO Rick Woldenberg says the tariffs are causing a lot of doubt and making prices higher. The company's lawyers have suggested that the court could decide by June if it will hear the case and listen to arguments in the autumn. However, the Trump administration supports the tariffs, saying that the emergency powers law lets the president manage imports during national emergencies.
