Apple showed its newest iPhones on Wednesday.
One of them is a foldable model called Duo.
The new CEO, John Ternus, showed the phones at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California.
He took over from Tim Cook on Sept. 1.
Before he showed the Duo, Ternus said, "actually there is one more thing."
This is the same phrase Apple's late founder, Steve Jobs, used.
Ternus said the Duo has the biggest screen ever on an iPhone.
But it still fits in a pocket.
It opens to a 7.6-inch screen.
That is 80% bigger than the newest iPhone 18 Pro.
People can also use an Apple Pencil with it.
Before, only iPads could use the Apple Pencil.
The Duo lets people split the screen between two apps.
They can also split it between two windows of the same website.
It costs $1,999.
It is the most expensive iPhone yet.
Analyst Ben Wood of CCS Insight said the Duo was always going to eclipse Apple's other announcements.
He said it marks Apple's entry into the niche foldable category.
This category is still less than 5% of the smartphone market.
The iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max start at $1,199 and $1,299.
Preorders begin Sept. 12.
Phones arrive Sept. 18.
The Duo comes Oct. 23.
The new models offer longer battery life and faster charging.
They also have better cameras, including "smart focus tracking."
Apple is also emphasizing Siri's new AI features and privacy.
Analyst Dipanjan Chatterjee of Forrester said the foldable launch follows Apple's playbook of waiting before entering a category.
He said Ternus must sustain Apple's momentum.
He must also prepare for a future when smartphones may no longer be consumers' main link to the world.
