A big problem with Google Cloud made popular online services like Spotify and Discord stop working for many people around the world. Thousands of users reported issues, and Spotify had the most reports of problems around 3 p.m. EST. Google Cloud confirmed the problem, saying it affected customers both in their own country and in other countries. Even though they found the reason and started to fix it, Google Cloud couldn't say when the issue would be completely solved. Google Cloud is a large provider of internet services and the fastest-growing part of Alphabet Inc. Last year, it made $43.2 billion, which is 31% more than in 2023, even though most of Alphabet's money still comes from Google's search engine.
