Apple is concerned about losing its innovative edge and falling behind in the race for artificial intelligence (AI). To address this, Apple plans to make a comeback at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference. This year's event is expected to be less flashy than previous ones, focusing on improving its software, including a new design for iPhone's built-in apps and a new system for naming its operating system updates. Despite delays in making Siri's AI features better, Apple remains hopeful about its progress. However, as Apple deals with its AI difficulties, competitors like Google and Samsung continue to add more AI to their products, increasing the gap between them. Apple also faces potential issues from government regulations and trade disputes, which could impact its income and manufacturing processes. These problems have caused Apple's stock price to drop by almost 20% this year, making it the third most valuable company globally, behind Microsoft and Nvidia, an AI chipmaker.
