Currently, OpenAI has an agreement to share 20% of its revenue with Microsoft, but according to the newspaper *The Information*, the company has informed investors that it anticipates sharing only 10% of revenue with Microsoft and other business partners by the end of this decade.
Microsoft has made multi-billion dollar investments in OpenAI, and the companies have an active agreement through 2030, which includes profit-sharing. This arrangement grants Microsoft usage rights to OpenAI's intellectual property within its AI products, alongside exclusive rights to OpenAI's API on Azure.
According to a Bloomberg report on Monday, Microsoft has not yet endorsed OpenAI's proposed corporate structure, as the tech giant is reportedly seeking assurances that the new framework will safeguard its multi-billion dollar investment.
Neither OpenAI nor Microsoft immediately responded to requests for comment.
