By offering built-in functionalities like Simplify, Google appears to anticipate that users will remain within its own ecosystem of tools and services, rather than depending on popular third-party tools such as OpenAI's ChatGPT for assistance with complex subjects.

To utilise Simplify, you can select any text on a web page you are viewing in the Google app and tap the 'Simplify' icon that appears. Following this, a simplified, easily readable text will be presented, enhancing your comprehension of the information and facilitating continued reading.
