Shohei Ohtani, a famous baseball player from Japan, is now the third player for the Dodgers to hit 20 home runs in the first 55 games of the season. Two other players, Gil Hodges and Cody Bellinger, have also done this. This has happened 64 times in the major leagues, and the last time was Pete Alonso in 2023. Ohtani has won the MVP award three times. He hit a home run in the game against the Cleveland Guardians. This is the fourth time this season Ohtani has hit a home run to the opposite side. Even when he doesn't hit the ball perfectly, it can still be a home run. He has hit home runs in three games in a row twice this season. Ohtani has been an All-Star four times. He has hit at least 12 home runs in a month three times since he started playing for the Dodgers.
