Freddie Freeman got two hits and hit a triple when all the bases were full. The Los Angeles Dodgers won against the Miami Marlins 10-1 on Wednesday.
Freeman helped the Dodgers win games. He hit the ball well and helped score four runs. He has now hit the ball in 12 games in a row. The Dodgers are the best team in MLB. They won two games out of three in Miami. This was their fourth series win in a row. In the games, Freeman hit the ball 8 times out of 13. He helped score six runs and hit two home runs.
Shohei Ohtani hit a triple and walked three times on Wednesday. One time, the other team let him walk on purpose. This happened when his team scored six runs against the pitcher Lake Bachar.
James Outman came into the game and hit a home run. Three players were on the bases when he hit it. This happened in the last part of the game. It helped the Dodgers have a bigger lead.
Landon Knack won the game (2-0). He didn't let the other team score, and they only hit the ball four times. He also stopped five players from hitting by throwing well. He came from a team called Oklahoma City on Wednesday. Matt Sauer came to the team too. He pitched after Knack and pitched for the last four parts of the game. This was the first time he finished a game like this and saved it.
Valente Bellozo started the game for Miami. He pitched for 5.1 innings and did not let the other team score. He only allowed one hit and made seven players miss the ball. In the sixth inning, Cade Gibson started pitching after Bellozo faced one player. This meant Bellozo did not have to face Ohtani again. In the next turn, Ohtani hit the ball far and got to third base against Gibson. This was Gibson's first loss.
New player Augustin Ramirez, who catches for the Marlins, hit one single and one double. The Marlins have won 14 games and lost 22 games. They have lost 9 out of their last 11 games.
In the sixth inning, Jesús Sánchez hit the ball well. In the ninth inning, he hit a fly ball that allowed a teammate to score Miami's only point.
The Dodgers scored many runs in the seventh inning against Bachar. Bachar let a player walk, then hit the ball, and then hit the ball again to score a run. Bachar then let Ohtani walk on purpose, and then let Mookie Betts walk, so all the bases were full. Next, Freeman hit the ball far, and everyone on base scored. Then, another hit scored another run.
The Dodgers only hit the ball one time in the first five parts of the game against Bellozo. After that, they hit the ball 11 times against four other Miami players.
On Thursday, the Dodgers start a four-game series in Arizona. Yoshinobu Yamamoto will pitch for them. The Marlins do not play on Thursday. On Friday, Max Meyer will pitch for the Marlins in the first game of their three-game series against the Chicago White Sox.
