Shohei Ohtani, a famous baseball player from Japan, has hit 20 home runs in the first 55 games this season. Only two other Dodgers players have done this before him: Gil Hodges and Cody Bellinger. Ohtani is the 64th player in the main baseball league to do this. The last player to do it was Pete Alonso in 2023. Ohtani has won the best player award three times. He hit a home run with two runs in a game against the Cleveland Guardians. This season, he has hit home runs to the other side of the field four times. Sometimes, even when Ohtani does not hit the ball perfectly, it still goes out of the park. He has hit home runs in three games in a row two times this season. Ohtani has been chosen as an All-Star four times. He has hit at least 12 home runs in a month three times since he started playing for the Dodgers.
