Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan plan to return to the UK from California within weeks.

They have enrolled their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, in British schools for the autumn term.

The big question is whether Harry can repair his relationship with Prince William.

Harry has publicly complained about mistreatment by palace staff, racism in the royal family, and the monarchy’s failings.

There are also concerns the couple could overshadow William and his wife Catherine.

The couple will live at a private residence outside London and will not resume royal duties.

Their return comes as King Charles III, Harry’s 77-year-old father, continues cancer treatment.

Harry has said he wants his children to know their grandfather.

Royal historian Ed Owens said recent events created a path for the return.

He noted Harry’s desire for reconciliation and a successful meeting with the king last month.

Owens expects Charles to forgive Harry, as the king must show Christian values.

He said William may find forgiveness harder privately, but publicly he will likely show it because traditional values demand reconciliation.
