Many fans came early to see Jimin and Jung Kook. They are famous singers from BTS. They finished their time in the army in South Korea.
They wore their army clothes on Wednesday. They said hello to the fans who came to see them after they left the army.
Jung Kook said thank you to the reporters and fans. They came to see him and Jimin. He felt strange to be back. He said, "I haven't been in front of cameras for a long time. I don't have makeup on. I feel a little shy." He also said, "I don't know what to say."
They joined in December 2023, like RM and V. RM and V left on Tuesday.
Fans came from many countries to see them. The meeting was at a park, not the army place, because it was safer. Buses with BTS pictures were on the streets. Balloons and free drinks made it a happy day.
Many fans wore masks. The band's company said it was not safe to go. But fans like Anaesi came from Portugal. She traveled for 20 hours to Yeoncheon. Yeoncheon is a town near North Korea. She said the long trip was good.
"Portugal is small, but BTS is like a king there," she said. Anaesi found BTS on YouTube. She said they helped her feel better when she was sad. "BTS is like an angel to me," she said. She showed a tattoo on her arm. It had "ARMY" and a picture, with the names of BTS and her friends in Korean.
V said thank you to fans on Tuesday. He said sorry for making them wait for him and RM. He said the band will come back. He said, "Please wait a bit. We will be back with a great show!"
The seven singers from the K-pop group want to sing together again in 2025 after they finish their work.
Six of the seven people in the group were in the army. Suga is helping people instead of being in the army. He will finish this work this month.
Jin is the oldest in BTS. He left the army in June 2024. J-Hope left the army in October.
In South Korea, men aged 18 to 28 must go to the army for about two years. This helps keep the country safe from North Korea.
Some sports people and dancers can get special help. They get it if they win big prizes. This makes their country proud. But K-pop singers and other stars do not get this help.
In 2020, BTS did not go to the army. A new law in South Korea lets pop stars wait until they are 30 years old to join.
In 2022, many people talked about BTS and army service. Some people thought BTS members should not go to the army. But in October 2022, their company said all seven members will go to the army.
