A judge told Sean Combs' lawyer to be careful what he says in public.

On Tuesday, Judge Arun Subramanian and Mark Geragos talked. A paper has what they said.

The judge will choose the jury on Friday. The trial starts on Monday.

He was arrested in September for bad things. Now he is in court and says he is not guilty. He is still in jail.

On Tuesday, the lawyers asked the judge to tell Geragos to follow the rules about what lawyers can say about the case during the trial.

Later, the judge asked if Geragos helped Combs.

Geragos said he helps the singer's mother. He also helps Combs and talks to him a lot. The lawyer's daughter, Teny Geragos, is on Combs' team of lawyers.

The judge stopped the lawyer when he talked about the other lawyers.

The judge said Geragos talked about the lawyers. He said there were six women lawyers. He called them 'a six-pack of white women'.

Subramanian asked Geragos if he knew it was not good to say that because he was a lawyer.

He said: "When a Black man is in court and feels people don't like him, it is easy to see."

The judge said again: "This is not good. It is bad to say 'six white women' about the women in the case."

Subramanian told Geragos he would watch and listen.

Before the trial, Combs' lawyers said that bad words from the police and because Combs is famous caused many untrue stories about him.

Many people sued Mr. Combs. The news about it was very crazy. This could stop him from having a fair trial.

The judge asked people questions for three days to find good jurors.

On Friday, the lawyers will pick the people for the jury. They don't have to say why. Then they will have 12 people for the jury and some extra people.

They say he used his companies and workers to do bad things, like taking people, starting fires, giving money to get things, and sex trafficking.

Police say he used his money to make women do bad things at parties, and he watched and filmed it.

Combs' lawyers say the police want to stop sex between people who agree.
