After Israel attacked Iranian targets, violence increased, which caused oil prices to rise and stock prices to fall on Friday. This was because people were worried about the global oil supply and the economy. Major stock markets like the S&P 500, Dow Jones, and Nasdaq all dropped significantly. Meanwhile, the price of U.S. crude oil went up by 7.3% to $72.98 per barrel. Experts believe that these oil price increases often decrease once it's clear the situation will not get worse, but Wall Street is paying close attention. Companies that depend on fuel and consumer confidence in travel, such as Carnival and United Airlines, experienced big losses. However, U.S. oil producers, defense companies, and gold saw increases. Despite these changes, inflation remains quite stable, although there are concerns it could speed up because of President Trump's tariffs.
